Officers were called to a report of a woman stabbed in a leg and the chest at Culliton Park near South Water and West Strawberry streets around 9:20 p.m.
The woman was transported to an area hospital.
She is expected to survive as her injuries were minor and not life-threatening.
Witnesses told police the woman was attacked by another woman.
Police continue to attempt to identify the suspect.
