Seen This Sedan? Woman, Child Struck By Car In Lancaster

A woman was struck by a car in Lancaster on Tuesday, according to the Lancaster Bureau of police.

The woman was walking with a child crossing Wabank Street at Fairview Avenue when a red sedan hit her-- knocking her and the child into the street around 8 p.m.

The child was unharmed but the woman suffered non life-threatening injuries.

A good samaritan helped the woman and child until emergency workers arrived at the scene.

The unidentified driver fled the scene immediately after striking the victims.

Police are investigating the incident and are seeking assistance from the "great community to identify the driver and suspect vehicle responsible for this crash," police say.
