A bodybuilder who "was defending his wife and stepdaughter" punched a man causing injuries, on Tuesday, Oct. 1 he was sentenced to jail, the Lancaster District Attorney Heather Adams announced. Francisco Perez, 56, of the 800 block of East Chestnut Street in Lancaster City, pleaded guilty to assaulting another man during an argument in 2021 before Judge Thomas B. Sponaugle at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, court records show. A 26-year-old Douglassville man was identified as the person who died in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Delaware, according to authorities. Taylor Guyer, 26, of Douglassville, was identified by Delaware State Police as the victim of the fatal crash that happened on Interstate 95 South in New Castle County, Delaware on Sunday, Sept. 22. Guyer was riding a Honda CBR 1000RR motorcycle on I-95 just north of Basin Road in New Castle when the crash happened, according to police. Funeral details have been released for a Pennsylvania middle school student who died more than two weeks after an incident while swimming with friends.
