Truck Driver Killed After Tractor Trailer Slams Into Parked Rig On I-78 In Berks (Update)
A truck driver was killed after his tractor trailer drifted onto the shoulder of Interstate 78 and slammed into a parked rig, Pennsylvania State Police detailed in an updated release issued Sunday, May 17.
Donald Gene Hausenfluck, 61, of San Antonio, Texas, died following the crash in Upper Bern Township near mile marker 25.6 shortly before midnight on Friday, May 15, according to PSP Hamburg and the Berks County Coroner’s Office.

45 MPH Limits Lifted In Southcentral PA; I-81 Vehicle Restriction Remains
All 45 mph speed restrictions have been lifted across southcentral Pennsylvania as winter storm conditions improve, PennDOT announced on Tuesday, March 3.
Speed limits have returned to normal in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties.
However, a Tier 1 vehicle restriction remains in place on Interstate 81 from Interstate 78 to the Schuylkill County line. That restriction currently extends beyond District 8 north to the New York state line.
Under Tier 1 restrictions, the following vehicles are not permitted:

Suspect, Victims Identified In I-495 Mass Stabbing, Officer-Involved Shooting In Virginia
Four people were stabbed, a dog was killed, and two people are dead after an officer-involved shooting that shut down I-495 for hours on Sunday.
Virginia State Police have identified the suspect as Jared Llamado, 32, of McLean.
One of the stabbing victims who died has been identified as Michelle Adams, 39.
