Allentown Inmate With Criminal History Dies By Suicide At Lehigh County Jail: Coroner
An Allentown man with a lengthy criminal history of drug and fraud-related offenses has died by suicide while incarcerated at Lehigh County Jail, authorities announced on Friday, March 14.
Forest M. Touchberry, 31, was found unresponsive in the facility before being rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital, Sacred Heart Campus, where he was pronounced dead at 3:29 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
An autopsy confirmed the manner of death as suicide, the office said.

A Manor Township man who kidnapped another man at gunpoint, forcing him to drive around while firing shots out of the vehicle, has been sentenced to up to 20 years in state prison, Lancaster County prosecutors announced on Thursday, March 6.
Aga L. Thapaliya, 40, pleaded guilty on Feb. 28 to kidnapping, robbery, unlawful restraint, terroristic threats, and multiple firearms offenses, including illegally carrying a firearm, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

A Philadelphia man who led a string of six violent armed robberies across the city and nearby counties in February 2021 has been sentenced to 32 years in federal prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Lawrence McKay, 37, forced cell phone store employees at gunpoint to hand over cash and merchandise during a three-week crime spree, authorities said. In one robbery, McKay shot a store employee in the stomach, and in another, co-conspirator Brenton Holmes shot an employee in the leg. Both victims survived, according to U.S. Attorney Jacqueline C.
