A New Jersey truck driver was killed when his tractor-trailer veered off the road and overturned on Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania, officials announced on Thursday, March 6. Timothy O. Atanda, 48, of Newark, was behind the wheel when the crash happened at mile marker 60.7 in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, at approximately 2:01 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said. Crash Closes I-78 Eastbound In Lebanon County (

A crash has shut down all lanes of Interstate 78 eastbound in Lebanon County, according to 511PA. The incident occurred between Exit 6 for PA 343 – Lebanon/Fredericksburg and two miles east of the exit. It was first reported at 10:32 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, with all lanes officially closed by 12:18 p.m., transportation officials said. A passenger has been found guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter for a fatal crash on Interstate 78, the Berks County District Attorney's Office annoued on Friday, Oct. 11. Dustin Micheal Harbaugh, 37, of Lebanon, was convicted for causing the crash that killed Jason Carl Blauch, 38, of Myerstown, according to the DA and his obituary posted by Rohland Funeral Home Inc. A 49-year-old Florida man has died following a hit-and-run on Interstate 78, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Saturday, Aug. 24.
