A 37-year-old Philadelphia woman was caught stealing nearly $100,000 in Social Security benefits stolen from a woman she allegedly buried under her house, the US Department of Justice announced on Friday, Sept. 13. Holly Sadowski was arrested on charges of Social Security fraud, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft, for concealing the death of a woman, U.S. Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero explained. A child is dead and five other people — including four children — were hurt in a fire in Lebanon City on Friday morning Sept. 13, officials explained. A child under the age of five died at the scene of the fire in the 1300 block of Brandywine Street, officials said. A 5-month-old baby girl was found with cocaine and fentanyl in her system that police believe her parents got in the Cumberland County Prison, according to multiple releases on Friday, Sept. 13. David James Foor, 26, and Brandi Renee Keifer, 25, both of Carlisle were arrested on the charge of child endangerment on Monday, Sept. 9, by Middlesex Township Police. : Man Police Cannot ID Shot Dead In York
A man was found shot dead in York City and police had yet to be able to identified him at the time of the police release at 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12. Officers were called to a report of a man shot dead with multiple gunshot wounds in the the 800 block of West College Avenue around 4:52 p.m., as detailed in the release. A former firefighter in multiple counties in Pennsylvania and a Vietnam veteran died on Wednesday, Sept. 11, his former station announced. Blaine W. Horn, 75, of Slatedale, passed away at his home, according to his obituary posted on Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc.'s website. A trucker was medically evacuated by a helicopter to an area hospital following a serious crash into a Littlestown laundromat early on Thursday morning, Sept. 12, authorities explained. The driver is thought to possibly have had a medical issue before he lost control of the vehicle, exiting the road, hitting a parked vehicle, causing the tractor-trailer to rollover and slam through the Littlestown Laundry Center, authorities said. Firefighters were called to car into a home in the 2300 block of Old Trail Road at 12:36 a.m., according to the Newberry Township Fire Department and York County Department of Emergency Services.
