Two children are in the hospital after being struck by a car, the Pottstown Chief of Police Mick Markovich told Daily Voice on Friday, Oct. 11. The collision happened near the corner of Beech and North Adams streets in Pottstown around 5:54 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety. A car was found sliced in half on Route 222, Adamstown firefighters announced on Monday, Oct. 7. While heading to a training in Berks County, volunteers with the Adamstown Fire Company volunteers were called to a single vehicle accident on Rt 222. A Northampton County woman was killed after her vehicle crashed into a tree on Wednesday, Oct. 2, according to authorities. Raquel M. Perez, 26, of Wilson Borough, was driving in the 5000 block of Route 309 in Heidelberg Township when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at 3:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. A 17-year-old boy from Fleetwood died on Friday, Sept. 20, three days after the car he was a back-seat passenger in struck a tractor-trailer, his family said.
