Mom Dies In Fatal Berks County Apartment Fire, Community Rallies To Help Family
After the death of a Berks County mom in an apartment fire, the community has rallied to help her grieving family. Amy Valentine couldn't escape from her burning apartment building in the 3400 block of Kutztown Road in Muhlenberg Township on Friday, Nov. 1, a GoFundMe campaign started by Valentine's daughter, Lexi Shuey, states. "I'm raising funds for my mom's funeral. These are words no child should ever have to say," Shuey said on the campaign page.
