Yacht Owner, Ex-Navy Commander Accused Of Drugging, Raping Deckhand, 22, In Nantucket Harbor
A yacht owner faces multiple charges after a young employee said he allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted her aboard a vessel in Nantucket Harbor last month, according to a news report.
Christian Bradley Williams, 54, of Florida, was arraigned Friday, Sept. 4, in connection with the alleged Aug. 9 attack. The 22-year-old woman had started working as a deckhand aboard his yacht, Chimera, in June. She received housing on the boat in exchange for the work.
The US Sun reported that Williams is a former Navy commander of the USS Springfield submarine.

A 19-year-old man is facing felony charges after police said he intentionally hit a girl with a vehicle in a Walgreens parking lot in Rockland County, knocking her unconscious and breaking her wrist.
New City resident Mike Tamay Mejia, 19, was arrested on Monday, Sept. 7, in connection with the incident, the Spring Valley Police Department announced on Thursday, Sept. 10.
The incident happened at around 4:14 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, in the parking lot of the Walgreens on Route 59 in Spring Valley, police said.

Newlywed NY Man Disappears, Faces Medical Trouble As Wife Begs ‘Please Come Home’
A newlywed New York man has disappeared, and his wife believes he could be facing a medical emergency.
Dominick Bianchi, 35, was last seen Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. around his home in East Greenbush, the local police department said on Facebook.
Bianchi has Type 1 diabetes, and his new bride, Julianna Zyra, told ABC affiliate WTEN she wasn’t sure if he could monitor his blood sugar. The missing man has a continuous glucose monitor, but it’s “paired to his phone that he doesn’t have,” Zyra told WTEN.

Following the shocking death of a 26-year-old man in a Long Island car crash, his loved ones have launched a fundraiser while struggling with the grief.
Matthew Schneider, of Selden, was killed in the wreck Tuesday, Sept. 8 in Holbrook, Suffolk County police said.

LI Father Killed In Nasty One-Car Crash 'Loved His Family More Than Anything': Fundraiser
A Long Island driver was killed in a one-car crash into a local fire station on Wednesday, Sept. 9, police said.
Michael Peattie, 41, of Sayville, struck Bethpage Fire Department Station 4 around 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Peattie was driving eastbound on Stewart Avenue through Bethpage in a 2024 Mazda when his vehicle left the road, struck a utility pole, and smashed into the fire station, authorities said.
Pictures from the scene showed a heavily damaged, hardly recognizable vehicle up against the station’s exterior walls, according to LI Fire Buff.
