Apple Issues 'Update Now' Warning To iPhone, iPad Users
Apple has just issued what it calls an urgent update for iPhone and iPad users that it says provides protection two critical security vulnerabilities related to exploits of user data while browsing on these devices. The download to iOS 18.1.1 fixes issues in JavaScriptCore and WebKit that could allow attackers to execute malicious code through crafted web content. Apple says users should install the update promptly. You can do this by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update on your device. For more information on the updates from Apple, click here.

Central PA Drug Dealer Nabbed For Fentanyl Death: DA
A 24-year-old drug dealer has been arrested in connection with a fentanyl drug delivery resulting in death, according to the Lancaster County district attorney's office. Daniel Fernando Pineda, of the 200 block of North Plum Street, Lancaster was apprehended on Thursday, July 21, after a warranted search and seizure of his cellphone tied him to the victim, authorities say. PA Man With 1K+ Images, Videos Of Child Porn Spends Birthday Surrendering To Police
One Pennsylvania man spent his birthday surrendering to police after an investigation found him in possession of over 1,000 photos and videos of child pornography, authorities say. Eric J. McCarthy, of Lancaster, had been under investigation since police received a cyber tipline notification about a suspect in possession of child pornography and an investigation was launched by Manheim Township police on Oct. 17, 2021, the department said in a release.
