: Man Police Cannot ID Shot Dead In York
A man was found shot dead in York City and police had yet to be able to identified him at the time of the police release at 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12. Officers were called to a report of a man shot dead with multiple gunshot wounds in the the 800 block of West College Avenue around 4:52 p.m., as detailed in the release. One person has died and another is in the hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Lancaster County on early Thursday morning, Sept. 12, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The crash happened at the intersection of North Railroad Avenue and Gristmill Road shortly after midnight, according to LCWC. A coroner was called to the scene and one person was taken to the hospital, dispatched explained. The scene cleared around 4:30 a.m. The crash remains under investigation. With help from Norristown police, a man wanted in a machete attack was taken into custody Wednesday morning, Sept. 11 without incident, authorities said. State police say they are making progress in their investigation of Patricia Woll's homicide. Woll, 43, was living on River Road in Damascus Township, Wayne County when her house caught fire on Aug. 28, 1997. She was found dead inside after firefighters beat the blaze.
