A father and son have been charged after investigators say an explosive device was thrown from a moving pickup truck near a church serving as a polling location on Election Day, authorities announced on Thursday, July 23.
Jack Pletz, 24, and Matthew David Pletz, 56, both of Catasauqua are accused in the incident that unfolded around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, near Salem United Church of Christ on the 600 block of 3rd Street, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. A “Beach Boys” tour fronted by Mike Love has called off several shows across the northeast this summer.
