A 20-year-old Allentown man was arrested after police seized a firearm, hollow-point bullets, and more after a pursuit-crash on Route 78 in New Jersey, authorities said. Trouble began for Franniel Reyes Saturday morning, July 27, when a New Jersey State Police trooper attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop in the eastbound lanes for a moving violation at Exit 7 in Bloomsbury, NJSP Sgt. A 45-year-old Easton, PA man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 78 in New Jersey on Tuesday, July 2, authorities said. At 10:04 p.m., a BMW motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Greenwich Township struck the back of a 2017 Toyota Camry, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was ejected and was subsequently struck by a 2020 Toyota Camry, killing him, Marchan said. PA Driver, 48, Seriously Hurt In Early-Morning Route 78 Crash: State Police
A 48-year-old Pennsylvania man was seriously injured in a crash on Route 78 in New Jersey overnight, police said. The Coplay driver lost control in Clinton Township around 3:50 a.m. Sunday, March 31 and ran off the roadway to the right, hitting a guardrail near on the westbound side, New Jersey State Police said. The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The accident remains under investigation and there is no additional information available.

Serious Crash Shuts All Lanes On Portion Of Route 78

The latest forecast has increased the amount of snow in what's expected to be the first winter storm headed to the region Monday, Feb. 27. Up to eight inches was being predicted as of Monday morning by the National Weather Service, for the areas north of Route 80 in North Jersey and the Poconos. One person had to be extricated from a crumpled car and taken to a nearby trauma center following a crash on Route 78 in Hunterdon County, authorities said. The crash occurred near the intersection of Route 78 and Route 523 in Tewksbury on the morning of Tuesday, April 12, according to the Whitehouse Rescue Squad. Photos show the nearly unrecognizable vehicle after it had struck a telephone pole near an underpass. A trapped victim was being flown to a nearby hospital following a Tuesday morning crash in Hunterdon County, developing reports say. A truck collided with a car and hit a pole near Oldwick Road and Route 78 in Tewksbury Township around 7:10 a.m., according to initial and unconfirmed reports.
