Tornado Watch Shifts, Now Covers These Counties Across NJ, PA As Debby Creeps In
The National Weather Service has shifted its tornado watch across New Jersey and Pennsylvania as Hurricane Debby creeps in.
In New Jersey, the tornado watch is in effect through 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 and covers Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties in North Jersey.
In Pennsylvania, the tornado watch is issued in Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe, and Bucks counties.
The tornado threat for South Jersey has diminished since the initial watch was issued early Friday morning, which has since been canceled.

Increased Snow Projections: 18 Inches Could Fall In Parts Of NJ, PA In Major Storm, NWS Says
The National Weather Service says parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania could see more snow than what was initially predicted due to a shift in the storm track.
In an updating briefing published Monday, Feb. 12, the NWS said 12 to 18 inches of snow could fall in parts of Sussex County, NJ and the Pocono Mountains.

Newly-released forecast maps from the National Weather Service show up to six inches of snow could fall across eastern Pennsylvania and much of New Jersey.

Skull Fished Out Of Delaware River ID'd As Missing Trenton Man
A skull fished out of the Delaware River nearly 40 years ago has been identified as belonging to a missing New Jersey man, authorities revealed Monday, Jan. 30.
Richard Thomas Alt, a 31-year-old Trenton man, was last seen by loved ones on Christmas Eve in 1984, said Bucks District Attorney Matthew Weintraub in a statement.
Shortly after, Alt and his girlfriend disappeared. Both were suspected homicide victims, and police recovered the woman's body in Mercer County, New Jersey the following April, Weintraub said.

Sherri Voorhees, 62, was last seen by her family on Tuesday, Aug. 23, Ewing Police said.
Sherri is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and has short gray hair, according to police.

A runaway teen from Mercer County has been missing for nearly two days, police say.
Dupree Thomas, 13, was reported missing by his guardian on Sunday, June 19, according to Hamilton Police.
He is thought to be with friends in the Trenton area due to previous similar incidents that involved him running away from home, police said.
Dupree has a medium build, stands 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 113 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white Nike sweatshirt with blue jeans and sneakers.
