Storm Update: Water Rescues As Flooding, Downed Trees, Wires Close Roads In Eastern PA Downed trees and power lines had closed roads after the storm in Eastern Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Aug. 7, authorities said. The remnants of now Tropical Storm Debby will move north along the eastern U.S. through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Bucks County first responders reportedly made nine water rescues overnight after up to 5 inches of rain fell. Roadwork Ahead: Police Announce Detours In Doylestown Detours are in effect on Monday and Tuesday, April 15 and 16, according to Doylestown police.  Almshouse Road closed from Upper State Road to Lower State Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days for road work, borough police said.  Drivers should use Upper State Road, Bristol Road, and Lower State Road instead.  Local access will be maintained, but backups and delays will occur, officials said.  For updates on traffic and road closures, check 511pa.com.
