PA Police Officer, HS Coach, Arty Erle Dies From Illness A police officer, high school baseball and wrestling coach, middle school baseball and volleyball coach, as well as the founding member of a non-profit, has died.  Arthur R. “Arty” Erle, 52, of Springfield formerly of Glenolden passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, according to his obituary posted by Lombardo Funeral Homes.  The Drexel Hill native graduated from Interboro High School in 1990, and a 1998 graduate of the Philadelphia Police Academy who went on to serve as a Corrections Officer at Delaware County Prison, and as a Police Officer for Upper Darby Township for the past…

Chester Co. Man ID'd After Amazon Truck Crash On Lancaster Pike Authorities say that a Chester County man died at the scene of a crash on Lancaster Pike on Wednesday, Feb. 8.  A deputy coroner arrived on the scene near Schoolhouse Road in Providence Township and pronounced 61-year-old Mark Slobodjian, from Nottingham, dead around 6 p.m., according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. Temple Student Killed Off Campus While Unpacking SUV A 21-year-old Temple University student was shot and killed off-campus while unpacking his SUV Sunday afternoon, officials said. Samuel Sean Collington, of Prospect Park, was shot twice in the chest during what was an attempted robbery in the 2200 block of North Park Avenue around 1:30 p.m, police said. Interboro High School Grad, DelCo Native David MacIntosh Dies, 36 David Samuel MacIntosh of Ridley Park, formerly of Norwood, died on March 12, 2021. He was 36 years old.  MacIntosh's obituary remembered him as someone who was "happy-go-lucky, generous, kind, an avid reader and Stephen King fan."  He graduated from Interboro High School in Prospect Park, his obit says.
