A boy was killed in a car crash just days before starting his senior year of high school, his mother said on Friday, Aug. 16. Jaxon Phetsavanh, 17, of Hellertown, has died following a crash along the Route 33 Southbound Exit Ramp to Route 248 in Lower Nazareth Township on Thursday, Aug. 15, according to a release by the Northampton County Coroner's Office. Multiple cars were involved in a wreck on Interstate 78 near Hellertown on Friday afternoon, Feb. 16, according to PennDOT. Police have charged two teenagers with trespassing after they were allegedly caught on camera breaking into Saucon Valley High School. Authorities said the pair entered the building after 9:30 p.m. last Saturday, Nov. 25. The driver who died on Route 33 in Bethlehem Township on Wednesday night, Nov. 8, was 40-year-old Surmaliz Valentin Ramos, authorities say. Ramos, of Hellertown, was driving a 2014 Toyota Scion when she crashed along Route 33 between Interstate 78 and the exit to Freemansburg Avenue at mile marker 1.4 around 7:15 p.m., state police told Daily Voice. The remains of an Allentown dad who went missing late last year were recovered from the Delaware River in Solebury Township over the weekend, the Bucks County Coroner's Office has confirmed.
