Officer Injured During Drug Arrest In Allentown: Police An Allentown police officer was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries after a suspect resisted arrest on Wednesday, July 3, according to city officials.  Police said they were patrolling near North Boyer and Russell streets around 6 p.m. when they spotted two men "involved in suspected drug activity." PA Convict Slashes Roommate In Chest, Neck With Kitchen Knife, Police Say A roommate was slashed across his neck and chest by a man supposedly on drugs just before midnight on Sunday, authorities announced the following day.
