Woman Accused Of Stealing Dog In Albany A 46-year-old woman from the region was arrested this week after police said she and another woman stole two dogs from a home earlier this month. Shalon Jones, of Albany, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property and hindering prosecution, Albany police said. She was remanded to the Albany County jail, authorities continued. 'Deplorable Conditions': 103 Animals Rescued From Woodstock Home, Owner Charged A Connecticut home was described as a house of horrors for the more than 100 animals that were trapped inside and with limited access to food, water, and clean air, authorities said. The conditions were so bad that veterinarians had to euthanize four of the dogs that were rescued because they were so sick. 'Cold-Blooded Killer': Troy Man Gets Decades In Prison For 2022 Capital District Slaying A man from the region will spend the next four decades to life behind bars after being convicted of the murder of a woman in 2022, authorities said. Griswold Man Accused Of Raping Woman At Boat Launch A 26-year-old woman told police that a Connecticut man she knew had raped her in her car at a Connecticut boat landing last year, authorities said. Worker Killed After Rocks Crush Excavator At Sterling Quarry A worker at a Worcester County rock quarry was killed on Thursday, Aug. 22, when a rock ledge collapsed on his excavator, authorities said. The incident happened just before 8 a.m. at a Stone Crest Way quarry in Sterling, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office said. The man's name was not released.
