PA Driver Charged In Pursuit That Left Motorcyclist Dead In NJ
A 32-year-old Pennsylvania man has been charged after a police pursuit led to the death of a motorcyclist, a Vietnam War veteran, in Warren County on Tuesday, Aug. 13, authorities said.
At 10:19 a.m., a New Jersey State Trooper began following an SUV on Route 80 eastbound and initiated a traffic stop, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said.
The driver of the SUV, Sean Mamakas, a Kempton, PA resident, continued traveling eastbound, exiting the interstate at Exit 12 and headed toward County Road 521 southbound in Hope Township, authorities said.

The National Weather Service says parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania could see more snow than what was initially predicted due to a shift in the storm track.
In an updating briefing published Monday, Feb. 12, the NWS said 12 to 18 inches of snow could fall in parts of Sussex County, NJ and the Pocono Mountains.

Both Drivers Ejected, Killed In Rt. 80 Rollover: Pennsylvania State Police
Both drivers were ejected and killed after their vehicles overturned several times on Route 80 in the Poconos Monday afternoon, state police confirmed.
Donn Innes, 68, was heading westbound when he collided with Jeffrey Bates, 31, after speeding off of the westbound lane near milepost 291.9 in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County, around 12:25 p.m., state police said in a press release.
Both vehicles veered off the right shoulder of the highway before overturning multiple times, ejecting Innes, of Weatherly, and Bates, of Danville.

4 Vehicles Destroyed As Car Carrier Goes Up In Flames On Route 80 (Photos)
Four vehicles were destroyed as a car carrier went up in flames on Route 80, authorities said.
The carrier caught fire near milepost 14 in Frelinghuysen on the evening of Tuesday, March 29, according to the Hope Volunteer Fire Department.
Engine 38-63, tanker 38-71, and rescue engine 38-62 made quick work of the blaze, while additional manpower was also called to the scene, the department said.
Ultimately, four out of the eight vehicles atop the car carrier were saved, the department said.

Detectives seized a whopping 360 pounds of pot that they said were in stuffed into more than a dozen duffle bags packed into an SUV stopped on Route 80.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said members of his Narcotics Task Force stopped a Ford Expedition driven by a Canadian citizen on the interstate in Lodi on Tuesday.
“When the windows to the vehicle were rolled down, detectives observed the entire rear portion of the vehicle to be filled with thirteen oversized duffle bags” of marijuana worth an estimated $1 million, Musella said.
