Cleanup Efforts Begin After Oil Spill Into Bucks County Stream: Officials
Cleanup efforts are underway after motor oil spilled into Mill Creek in lower Bucks County on Sunday, Dec. 10, according to authorities. Police, firefighters, and hazardous materials crews responded to the scene where the "unintentional release of motor oil" had polluted the small stream in Penndel Borough and parts of Middletown, officials said in a release. Panic At King Of Prussia Mall After Gun Fired In Man's Pants
Upper Merion police dashed to the King of Prussia mall on Tuesday, Aug. 15 after hearing reports of gunfire, the department said in a release. Now, investigators believe it was an accident. Authorities say they arrived shortly after 7 p.m. and quickly determined "there was no further threat to visitors to the mall." Instead, police think a firearm in a shopper's pants went off unintentionally. No injuries were reported and authorities are still looking for the culprit. A "suspicious package" from Virginia thought to contain a pipe bomb was part of a "prank," police in Pennsylvania announced on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023. The Pennsylvania State Police Bomb Squad searched a local park after a "training type hand grenade that had been modified into an improvised explosive device," was found. A 14-year-old girl was the victim of a kidnapping attempt at the Willow Grove Park Mall, authorities announced on Wednesday. The girl was coming down the escalator when she was met by a man she did not know around 7 p.m. on July 12, Abington Township police explained in a release. The man identified himself as "Alex" and asked her to walk with him, "extending his arm, as if to escort her," according to investigators. Barricaded Woman With Gun Brings Police Response In Philadelphia: Cops
An armed woman threatening to harm herself and others brought a large police response to a Philadelphia neighborhood Thursday morning, July 6, police said. The call on the 5400 block of Vine Street came in just before 7:20 a.m., bringing a crisis team to the scene.
