A Philadelphia man hoping to enjoy a week on Martha's Vineyard wound up in jail because of a nearly 10-year-old typo, CBS Boston reports. Angus McCoubrey, 37, and his wife were involved in a minor fender bender at the start of their weeklong stay on the island last month and thought little of it when they called police to report the incident, the outlet said. Three people were arrested after a fight that ended with one Chester High School student in the hospital, CBS3 reports. Officers were called to the school on West 9th Street after one student was cut with a can opener during a fight around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, the outlet says. Potentially Hazardous Mail Brings Hazmat Team To Caln Township: Police
Potentially hazardous mail brought a hazmat team to a Chester County neighborhood Tuesday, July 26, authorities said. Four people reported feeling sick after opening their mail on the unit block of Nancy Lane in Caln Township around 7:30 p.m., local police said. NJ Police Lt. Mark Horan Takes His Own Life After 24 Years On Force
A police lieutenant who took his own life over the weekend in his New Jersey home is being remembered as a devoted dad and exemplary officer. Hamilton Police Lt. Mark Horan died Saturday, April 30 in his home. He was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, NJ Advance Media reports. Horan joined Hamilton's force in 1998 and assigned to the patrol division. He moved to the anti-crime unit in 2009, and a year later, was promoted to sergeant. In 2017, he was promoted again to lieutenant, serving in the anti-crime, patrol and administration divisions. The man snatched a wallet from the victim's purse at Texas Roadhouse on Southmont Way on Sunday, Feb. 27, Bethlehem police said on Sunday, April 3.
