A shelter in place for a New Jersey town has been lifted after the manhunt for a shooting suspect led to his arrest in Pennsylvania on Thursday morning, June 27, police said.
Around 9:40 a.m., Independence Township and New Jersey State Police responded to a home on Alphano Road for a shooting, prompting a shelter-in-place for the neighborhood, the county prosecutor's office said.

Easton Man Crashes Into Tree, Hides In Warren County Farm During Drunken Hit-Run: State Police
An Easton man was intoxicated when he crashed into a tree in Warren County and fled into a nearby farm with two others, state police allege.
Troopers responded to a Honda Accord crash into a tree at Routes 632 and 643 in Franklin Township just after 1:20 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, NJSP Tpr. II Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com.
On the way, responders were told that three men exited the Accord and ran into a nearby farm, Marchan said.
The men were caught after a brief search, and Yeins Comacho, 38, of Easton, PA, was found to be the driver, authorities said.

State Police: PA Drowning Victim, 33, Pulled From Delaware River In Hunterdon County
A PA drowning victim was pulled from the Delaware River in Hunterdon County Tuesday evening, state police said.
Jorge Herrera-Salmoran, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene after being pulled from the water near the Bull’s Island Recreation Area (2185 Daniel Bray Highway) in Delaware Township shortly before 5:30 p.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice.
Herrera-Salmoran, of Doylestown, PA, had entered the water to go swimming but was pulled under by the current of the river, Goez said.
The investigation is ongoing, Goez said. Additional details were not released.
Phillipsburg Pair Nabbed For Possession, Distribution Of Heroin, Meth
Two Phillipsburg men accused of possessing heroin and methamphetamine were arrested Friday, police said.
The drugs were found when Phillipsburg officers carried out a search warrant, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said.
Jeffrey Wolfe, 36, was charged with two counts of heroin possession, two counts of distribution, three counts of possession with the intent to distribute heroin and distribution of methamphetamine — all third-degree charges, police said.
Joshua Rivera, 36, was charged with third-degree possession of methamphetamine.
