Driver Hospitalized As Dump Truck Overturns In Hunterdon County
A dump truck driver was hospitalized after the vehicle overturned in Hunterdon County, authorities said. The vehicle overturned at the intersection of County Route 579 and Route 523 near the border of Delaware and Raritan Townships the afternoon of Wednesday, Feb. 9, according to the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad. The driver self-extricated and was taken by the rescue squad to Hunterdon Medical Center for evaluation of minor injuries. The road remained closed until the scene was cleared. A 60-year-old Hunterdon County driver was hospitalized Tuesday following a serious Route 31 crash that took out two telephone poles and a department of transportation sign, authorities said. A Glen Gardner woman was driving a 2009 silver Toyota Camry northbound on Route 31 S. in Washington when she swerved into the southbound lane and back again, crossing both lanes shortly before 2:30 p.m., Washington Township police said in a release. State Police: Driver Injured In Hunterdon County Crash On Route 78
A driver was hospitalized with minor injuries Monday morning in a two-car crash on Route 78 eastbound in Hunterdon County, state police said. The crash — involving a Kia Soul and Lexus ES 300 — occurred near milepost 8.2 in Bethlehem Township around 9:50 a.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. The Soul driver was taken to Hunterdon Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, while the Lexus driver and passenger were uninjured, Goez said.
