Man Shot Dead Inside Philly Store, Police Say One man was shot to death inside a Kensington Avenue shop on Tuesday morning, April 9, Philadelphia police said in a release.  Authorities responded to a shop on the 2800 block around 9:30 a.m., PPD said. They found an unidentified man in his 20s or 30s with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and took him to Temple Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, according to the department.  One person is in custody and the Homicide Unit is investigating, authorities said.  "Updates will be sent as they become available," a PPD spokesperson added.

Man Shot Dead Near Philadelphia's La Salle University, Police Say A 40-year-old was shot and killed just blocks from La Salle University in North Philadelphia on Wednesday night, April 3, authorities told Daily Voice.  Shots rang out on the 1700 block of West Olney Avenue around 8:45 p.m., PPD said. Officers responded to find the victim with a single gunshot wound to the "lower right stomach." He was taken to Einstein Hospital and pronounced dead just after 9 p.m., according to police.  No arrests have been made and no weapons were recovered as of Thursday morning, April 4, authorities said. The shooting remains under investigation.
