A pair of police investigations in Coatesville culminated with the arrests of 19 suspected drug dealers and the dismantlement of two trafficking groups, prosecutors claim. More than a decade after his death, police are reinvestigating the Chester County murder of Thomas E. Ferguson. The 43-year-old was shot dead in the Borough on Modena on Oct. 5, 2010, at about 9:30 p.m., according to a release from the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers. Authorities believe Ferguson was being robbed at gunpoint when his assailant shot him near the intersection of Modena Road and Union Street. A Coatesville teenager could spend almost two years on house arrest for the 2022 death of his 4-year-old brother, a Chester County court has ruled. The proprietor of a Chester County pet kennel neglected a dog in her care, resulting in his death, a jury has found. Denise Durfor, owner of Pleasant Pet Resort in East Nottingham Township, was convicted of animal neglect, the Chester County District Attorney's Office announced Friday, Jan. 27. A Chester County drug dealer who sold fentanyl that caused a fatal overdose will spend years in prison, officials say. Kendall M Brown, 38, of Philadelphia was sentenced to 6 to 13 years behind bars for felony drug delivery resulting in death, Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan said in a statement Wednesday, Nov. 9. For the second time in as many weeks, Coatesville Area High School was the subject of violent threats on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 13 and 14, authorities have announced.
