PA Drunk Driver Was More Than 2X Legal Limit Hours After Ditching Car At Crash Scene, Cops Say A Pennsylvania driver was more than twice the legal limit nearly two hours after she crashed her car and left it at the scene, police said. Heidi R. Hamrick, of New Holland, struck a utility pole at Ranck Road and Don Drive in East Earl Township around 12:10 a.m. June 9, East Earl police said. When officers arrived they found that the driver had fled the scene, but left their vehicle. Driver Charged After Hit-Run In Delaware County: Police Police arrested a man in Philadelphia on Sunday, May 5 following a hit-and-run crash in Yeadon, according to authorities.  Officials said William F. Butler rear-ended a car at a red light on Church Lane near the intersection with Whitby Avenue. The collision sent the struck car forward into the back of another vehicle, authorities said.  Police claim Butler fled the scene. Christina Bennett, 31, of Pipersville, was charged with simple assault and more following the March 6 incident in Plumstead, local police said. Officers responded to a home in the 5800 block of Bradshaw Road on reports of a domestic dispute when they found a man with scratches and fresh wounds, bleeding and alone, police said.
