Deadly Early Morning Shooting Under Investigation: Philadelphia Police
A man died from his wounds after he was shot multiple times Friday morning, Aug. 2, authorities say. The shooting happened before 4 a.m. on the 200 block of West Somerset Street in Kensington, according to PPD. The victim, a man in his early 30s, was struck in the abdomen, right leg, and left arm, police wrote. He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead around 4:20 a.m., authorities said. His name was not reported as of late Friday morning. Two men are sought in connection with a July 9 shooting in Muhlenberg, according to officials. The suspects were walking on the 2400 block of Kutztown Road when a car double parked beside them around 6:45 p.m., police said in a release on July 31. A man is in custody for firing a weapon in a Warrington home, township police said in a release on Monday, July 29. Safarie Xiong allegedly shot a gun in a residence on the 1200 Block of Palomino Drive on July 20, according to authorities.
