A Pennsylvania home damaged in a fire that injured a firefighter was burglarized nearly a month later, with police finding a man inside and items from the house in his pockets, authorities announced Thursday, Sept. 17.
Shawn Michael Mead, 30, of Reading, and Amanda Marie Shuman, 33, of Blandon, were arrested following the break-in in West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, according to the Ephrata Police Department.

A teenager charged with fatally stabbing a Pennsylvania man in the chest on a Columbia Borough street has waived his preliminary hearing, sending the case to county court, prosecutors announced Wednesday, Sept. 16.
The Columbia teen is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and tampering with evidence in the July 8 killing of Anthony Stoy-Velazquez, 26, of Marietta, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office. A Pennsylvania man has been jailed without bail after a victim reported sexual assaults from nearly a decade ago, police announced on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Raul Solis-Soriano, 46, of Bensalem, allegedly sexually assaulted the victim on three separate occasions while the victim was a child in his care, township police said.
