Philly Groin Shooting Leaves Man Critical (Developing) A 60-year-old man was shot once in the groin Philadelphia police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 24.  The shooting happened in the 1200 block of Point Breeze Avenue, Philadelphia around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, the police detailed in the release. The victim was taken by Medic 35 to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable but critical condition, according to the police. Woman Dies After Less Than 24 Hours In Allegheny County Jail: Officials A woman who had only been in the Allegheny County Jail for one day has died, officials announced on Saturday, Sept. 14.  The unidentified 53-year-old woman passed away following a "medicinal incident" less than 24 hours after entering the jail, Acting Warden Shane T. Child Hospitalized, Residents Rescued From York Rowhouse Fire: Chief A child was hospitalized following a row home fire in York County on Wednesday evening, Aug. 21, according to York Area United Fire and Rescue. The call to the two-alarm fire at the row home located at 525 South Albermarle Street in Spring Garden Township came in at 11:35 p.m. according to a release by the York Area United Fire and Rescue Fire Chief Daniel J.
