Armed Robbery Of 11-Year-Old Near Elementary School Lands Lancaster Teen In State Prison A Lancaster teen who lured an 11-year-old to a late-night meeting and pulled a gun on them during a botched robbery near a local elementary school has been sentenced to state prison, authorities announced on Feb. 14, 2025. Jadriel Perez-Quinones, 17, of the 800 block of South Duke Street, was sentenced to two-and-a-half to six years in state prison after pleading guilty on Jan. 27 to robbery, firearms not to be carried without a license, and possession of a firearm by a minor, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office. Coyote Spotted Roaming Lancaster City On Surveillance Cameras A coyote was caught on Lancaster Safety Coalition cameras roaming the city streets over the weekend, officials announced on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The animal was first seen at Lime and Walnut streets around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, according to surveillance footage. It was later spotted at Pershing Avenue near Church Street before another camera picked it up at Pershing and Green streets. Authorities have not issued any warnings regarding the animal. Residents are advised to remain aware of their surroundings and report any unusual wildlife activity.

Man Beaten Until Seizure, Wanted Columbia Felon Caught In Pursuit: Police A convict has been arrested after he was seen beating another man until he began to have a seizure in a public park, Lancaster City Police announced on Friday, June 7.  Michael Shaquin Roane, 33 of Columbia Borough, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of Simple Assault and Flight on Foot, the police said and court records confirmed.  The police were called to a report of an assault that ended when a man began having a seizure in Culliton Park around 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, according to the bureau's release.  The Bureau released the following statement about the situat…
