A man having a "medical issue" in the rafters of a tobacco barn on an Amish farm was rescued on Friday morning, Aug. 16, authorities said. Firefighters were called to the farm rescue in the 1700 block of Georgetown Road in Bart Township at 8:52 a.m. on Friday, according to a release by the Quarryville Fire Company and Lancaster County Wide Communications. An antique warehouse has been destroyed in a massive alarm fire, multiple companies announced on Friday morning, July 19. The Columbia Borough Fire Department was called to the blaze at the 2-store warehouse building that houses Tollbooth Antiques in the 200 block of Chestnut Street around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18. The 40,000-square-foot warehouse was previously known as the Kahn Lucas factory, which produced children's clothing, according to public records. Seven firefighters were injured when two tankers, from two different companies, collided on the way to a massive warehouse fire in South Central Pennsylvania on Friday night, according to separate releases issued the following morning, July 13. Tanker 37 with Laurel Fire Company #1, was involved in a “motor vehicle accident along with Tanker 8 of the Community Fire Company # 1 – York New Salem," as Chief David E. City fire crews were at the scene of two blazes in Bethlehem on Tuesday, July 9, officials said. The first fire broke out on East Broad Street and reached two alarms before being brought under control, firefighters wrote in a statement Wednesday. Crews Battle Blaze In Allentown
First responders were called to an apartment building in Allentown for a three-alarm fire on Monday evening, July 8. The blaze broke out on the 1100 block of Hamilton Street around 5:30 p.m., said firefighters. Crews were still on the scene as late as 10:30 p.m., according to city fire officials. Crews Respond To Early Morning Fire In Easton
Firefighters were at the scene of a three-alarm blaze in Easton on Friday, July 5. Forks Township fire officials said they were called to Lehigh and South 11th streets around 2 a.m. Dewey Fire Company said they assisted with suppression, search, overhaul, and cleanup and were at the site until 5 a.m. WFMZ reports the blaze spread to multiple apartments and said that one person was taken to the hospital. A 29-year-old Philadelphia firefighter was killed when his car hit a tree early Sunday, June 23, officials say. Ka'Ron B. Montgomery was driving east along the 600 block of Godfrey Avenue, police told Daily Voice. Police Identify Victim In Fatal Bucks County Fire
One man has died after a mobile home in Bensalem caught fire on Friday, June 7, according to police. Authorities said they were called to Top of the Ridge Trailer Park, 1446 Gibson Road, around 5 p.m. One mobile home was "fully engulfed in flames" and another had also caught fire by the time they arrived.
