Box Truck Erupts In Flames On Route 30 Split In Lancaster County  A box truck burst into flames at the Route 30 and Route 283 split in Lancaster County, authorities announced on Wednesday morning, Dec. 11. The fire broke out on Route 30 Westbound as it splits into Route 283 Westbound in Manheim Township around 9 a.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. Fire crews swiftly responded and were able to extinguish the flames, officials said. No injuries were reported, dispatch confirmed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

PA Rt 611 Reopens After Vehicle Fire: Police (Update) A vehicle fire closed part of PA Route 611, Doylestown police announced on Monday evening, Oct. 7.  The fire was reported on North Route 611 at 4:55 p.m., according to the police. The closure was at State Street. Drivers were asked to "find alternate route," the police said.  The roadway reopened at 5:28 p.m. according to the police.

PA State Police Car Catches Fire On Route 80 A PSP vehicle caught fire on a Luzerne County highway late Monday, July 15, according to officials.  The blaze happened on Route 80 near mile marker 272.1, said White Haven Fire Company. Troopers brought the flames under control by the time firefighters arrived, and a hose was used to soak down the engine compartment, authorities said.  No one was injured, the fire company added.  Daily Voice has reached out to PSP for details on what caused the fire.

York County Man, 55, Dies In Vehicle Fire: Police Authorities are investigating a deadly vehicle fire in Manchester Township.  Northern York Regional police were called to the 2400 block of Pin Oak Drive around 11:50 p.m. Thursday, May 23. They arrived to find a white 1994 GMC Safari minivan fully engulfed in flames.  York Area United Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire and 55-year-old Thomas Rooney was found dead in the van, police said.
