Waterbury Man Charged With Hit-Run Crash That Left Pedestrian Hospitalized More than six months after a driver struck a pedestrian in New Haven County and sped off, leaving the victim hospitalized with critical injuries, police say they have made an arrest. Nathan Medina, 23, of Waterbury, was arrested Sunday, Feb. 23, and accused of a hit-and-run that seriously injured a 22-year-old man in August 2024, authorities said. The crash happened near 97 Cherry St. in Waterbury on Aug. 18.
