Tornado Watch Shifts, Now Covers These Counties Across NJ, PA As Debby Creeps In The National Weather Service has shifted its tornado watch across New Jersey and Pennsylvania as Hurricane Debby creeps in. In New Jersey, the tornado watch is in effect through 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 and covers Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties in North Jersey. In Pennsylvania, the tornado watch is issued in Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe, and Bucks counties. Middle Township police responded to the crash on Route 9 North at around 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, the department said in a news release. The wreck involved an Inspira ambulance in the Swainton section of the township. Investigators said the ambulance was traveling to a medical emergency with its lights and sirens activated. Two boys, a 17-year-old from Philadelphia and a 16-year-old from Ivyland, PA, turned themselves in to North Wildwood police, the department said in a news release on Thursday, June 27. New Jersey State Police Marine Units stopped the operator of an erratic blue Yamaha around 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 at the bathing beach in Lower Township in Cape May County, the department said.
