A dispute between West Philadelphia neighbors ended with two stabbings and a shooting early Wednesday morning, Nov. 15, officials told Daily Voice. A driver died after crashing his car into a SEPTA trolley in West Philadelphia late on Thursday, Sept. 21, authorities told Daily Voice. The wreck happened around 8:20 p.m. near the corner of Lansdowne Avenue and North 59th Street in Overbrook, city police said. The remains of a boy discovered in a West Philadelphia dumpster last week have been identified, according to city police. The boy in the dumpster has been identified as 12-year-old Hezekiah "Hezzy" Bernard, authorities announced on Aug. 31. Officers were called for a "hospital case" at 5500 Cherry Street around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, the department said. The area is directly behind a playground, according to Google Maps. School Bus Struck By Car With Teen Shot Dead Inside, Philly Police Say
A teenage shooting victim was found dead in the passenger seat of a car that collided with a school bus in West Philadelphia on Monday, city police told Daily Voice. The crash happened around 8 p.m. on Aug. 14, the department said. The unnamed 19-year-old was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and pronounced dead at the scene, according to investigators. Although a gun was found nearby, no arrests had been reported as of Tuesday, Aug. 15. The school bus was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

Teen Shot In Face In Philadelphia
A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in the face on a West Philadelphia street Tuesday night, city police told Daily Voice. Officers were patrolling near the 5400 block of Haverford Avenue on Aug. 8 when a pedestrian flagged them down and took them to the victim, the department said. He was rushed to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he was placed in critical condition, they added. A SEPTA employee is accused of driving under the influence after she allegedly crashed into a city trolley with her car while off-duty. Resident Rescued From Burning Home In Philadelphia, Authorities Say
One person was pulled from their burning West Philadelphia home and treated for injuries early on Tuesday, Aug. 1, according to authorities. It happened near the corner of North 57th and Harmer streets around 6 a.m., the Fire Department confirmed to Daily Voice. The resident was rescued, evaluated at the scene by first responders, and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, PFD said. His condition as of Tuesday afternoon was not clear.
