An attorney for the 80-year-old Jeffries filed a motion on Monday, Dec. 9, asking a Manhattan judge to schedule a hearing to determine whether Jeffries is mentally competent to stand trial. “[The motion] will be dealt with in court as, and when, appropriate – according to the judge,” Jeffries’ attorney, Brian Bieber, told Daily Voice. DA: Grandmother Allowed PA Dad Unsupervised Contact With Baby At Time Of Brutal Beating A 63-year-old grandmother from Florida has been charged in connection to the severe beating of the 2-month-old grandson in her care in Montgomery County, authorities said. Two-month-old Landon was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was found to have “injuries to multiple organ systems including rib fractures, both new and healing, bilateral subdural hemorrhages, bruising and lacerations to his liver, and bruising on multiple areas of his body” on July 27, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R.
