Still Unsolved: Police Seek Clues Years After Brutal Homicide Of New Morris County Mom, 28
Investigators continue to search for clues more than 50 years after the brutal killing of a 28-year-old mother in Morris County.
Joyce Coleman was found dead as officers responded to her husband’s call at 245 Bartley Rd. in Washington Township around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, 1970, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Coleman was a young mother, and her baby was found unharmed, the MCPO said.
According to a recent review of the case from AshMysteries, the home was also ransacked, and Coleman’s cause of deal was ruled “multiple blunt injuries to the head, face, and neck.”

Gina Pateman, of Califon, was identified as the victim of Tuesday morning’s deadly dump truck crash on Bartley Road in Washington Township, NJ.com reports citing the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
Pateman, 52, was remembered as a devoted mother to her triplets, Tyler, Cecelia, and Julia, according to a GoFundMe launched for the family’s expenses.

Drunk Volkswagen Driver Slams Into Hackettstown Bridge, Police Say
A Volkswagen driver from Morris County was intoxicated when he crashed into a bridge in Hackettstown, authorities said.
Officers responding to the crash report on East Avenue found Timothy Mikesh, 43, behind the wheel of a 2016 Volkswagen just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, Hackettstown Police said in a Tuesday, Feb. 8 press release.
While speaking with Mikesh, officers observed the odor of alcohol and subsequently found an open bottle of Smirnoff inside the car, police said.

Pennsylvania Ex-Con, 41, Indicted For Shooting South Jersey Police Officer, Prosecutor Says
A 41-year-old Pennsylvania man has been indicted in connection with a shooting in which he and a police officer were wounded in South Jersey, authorities said.
A Gloucester County grand jury returned a 17-count indictment against Arthur DiSanto, Jr., who allegedly exchanged gunfire with police, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer.
DiSanto of Delaware County, PA, also was wounded by gunfire on Aug. 23 in Washington Township, Mayer said.
