Fire Erupts at Liberty Road Compost Site, Upper Saucon Firefighters Respond
A significant brush fire broke out at the Liberty Road Compost site, prompting a swift response from Upper Saucon police and firefighters on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, at 1:27 p.m., according to officials.
Arriving officers found the blaze spreading from the east side of the facility toward the adjacent wood line. Fire crews from Upper Saucon, Coopersburg, Lower Milford, Upper Milford, Vera Cruz, Eastern Salisbury, and Lower Saucon joined forces to bring the fire under control. 'Large-Scale' Burglary Ring Targeted Homes In Lehigh Valley And Beyond, DA Says
Half a dozen people are charged in connection with a "large-scale" home burglary scheme, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office.
At a press conference on Friday, April 26, prosecutors and law enforcement said an organized ring of thieves stole more than $160,000 in goods from homes in Lehigh, Berks and Northampton counties.
