A 26-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection to a deadly shooting outside an after-hours club in Allentown that left one man dead and three others injured, authorities announced. The man killed in a shooting outside an Allentown nightclub over the weekend has been identified as Ivan Diaz Jr., 32, of Lower Macungie Township, authorities announced on Monday, Feb. 3. Diaz was pronounced dead at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg after suffering multiple gunshot wounds, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. An autopsy completed Monday confirmed the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide. PA 21-Year-Old Killed When Scooter Hits Utility Pole: Coroner
An Allentown man was fatally injured when his motor scooter crashed into a utility pole on a city street late on Wednesday, Aug. 30, authorities say. Rony M. Taveras Santana, 21, hit the pole around 10:30 p.m. near Union Boulevard and North Halstead Street, said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio. He was rushed to the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, where he died from his blunt force wounds around 3:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, Buglio added. A 76-year-old Salisbury Township man has died four days after being struck by a vehicle in Allentown, authorities said. Joseph A. Lacomare died on Sunday, Feb. 6 at St. Luke's Hospital - Bethlehem from closed head injuries sustained in a crash, according to Lehigh County Coroner's Office. His death was ruled an accident. Lacomare was struck by a vehicle in the 500 block of Union Boulevard around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 2, authorities said. The crash remains under investigation by Allentown police.
