Carjacker Who Threatened To Inject Victims With Syringe Sentenced: Bucks DA A convicted carjacker who brandished a syringe during a string of Bucks County thefts will spend up to two decades in prison, according to prosecutors.  The District Attorney's Office said Monday that Kevin O’Connell was sentenced to 11 to 25 years in prison. Police Car Crash Among 2 Accidents On Route 13 Less Than 90 Mins Apart A crash involving a police car was among two accidents that occurred on Route 13 Monday, Oct. 3, less than 90 minutes apart. The first accident involving a pickup truck and sedan was reported around 6:50 p.m. at the Levittown Parkway intersection in Tullytown, fire officials and LevittownNow said. One victim was extricated from the vehicle. Then, around 8 p.m., a police Dodge Charger sustained damage to its front end when it collided with a passenger car in Bristol Borough, LevittownNow said. Authorities ID Inmate Who Died By Suicide At Bucks County Jail: Report The third inmate to die by suicide at the Bucks County Correctional Facility this year has been identified. Floyd Harper, 37, of Tullytown, hanged himself inside the jail, LevittownNow reports citing the Bucks County Coroner's Office. He was pronounced dead Sunday, July 3, by medical workers at the facility, said James O' Malley, Deputy Director of Communications. This is the jail's second death in 30 days and its third death this year.

Bensalem Man Supplied Drugs That Killed Victim At Recovery House: DA A Bensalem man has been accused of supplying the drugs that a 25-year-old woman overdosed and died on at a recovery house last summer, authorities announced. Matthew Derby Lavender, 25, was charged on Nov. 11 in the death of Nikki Lee Silva, Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said.
