Jewelry Store Owners Gift Jersey Shore Family Business Of 60+ Years To Employees
The longtime owners of an Atlantic County jewelry store have given their family business to a group of their employees. Harvey and Madalyn Rovinsky handed over the keys for Bernie Robbins Jewelers in Somers Point to five employees during a special ceremony on Tuesday, May 7, according to a news release. Their family had owned the jewelry store on New Road for 62 years before passing ownership on to the group. Missing PA Man Was Kidnapped By Coworker Who Then Fled To NJ: Authorities
A Philadelphia area man has been charged with kidnapping and murder in the disappearance of his Bucks County coworker, who has been missing since 2021. Michael Allen Stark, 49, of Royersford, is believed to have kidnapped Matthew James Branning, after a shift at his Silverdale job in October 2021, took him to withdraw money at an ATM and then fled in Brannging's car to New Jersey, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said. Man Critical After Setting Himself On Fire In Atlantic City, Police Say
A man who set himself on fire overnight in Atlantic City was in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon, authorities said. The 24-year-old Somers Point man was found with severe burns by police on the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue around midnight, police said. An attendant from the gas station used a fire extinguisher to put the flames out. 'Fly' Dad Of 4 Killed In Atlantic County Shooting
Authorities have identified the 41-year-old man who was shot and killed in South Jersey. Police received a shot spotter call in connection with the incident at 914 North Main St. in Pleasantville, at 9:19 a.m. Saturday. Ivan Smith of Somers Point was found laying on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill. A former New Jersey child protection worker was sentenced Tuesday to more than 20 years in federal prison – just about all which he’ll have to serve – for recording pornographic images of an underage boy in his care.
