Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit production company behind the beloved children's educational TV show "Sesame Street," is facing major staff cuts after losing key funding. Daily Voice confirmed the layoffs in an email from a Sesame Workshop spokesperson on Wednesday, Mar. 5. Book Ban, Including Sesame Street, Sparks Protest In Pennsylvania
A student protest is under way after a list of banned media was released which includes Sesame Street and PBS documentaries. A diversity committee was formed at the Central York School District to overhaul the school's representation of diverse voices and highlight topics that were more culturally relevant in 2020.
