Road Rage Shooting On Rt 222, Berks County Authorities Say
A gunman who shot at another driver near the Berkshire Mall on Monday, July 1 is being sought by police. The road rage incident unfolded on Route 222 in Wyomissing around 12:45 p.m., authorities announced the following day. A driver in a black Honda sedan fired at another vehicle, striking it twice, according to investigators. No one was injured in the shooting. Officials have named the 91-year-old man killed in a Lower Macungie crash on Monday afternoon, Jan. 22. John H. Milliman was a passenger in a BMW headed north on Route 222 around 10:40 a.m., according to state police. The BMW was struck by a tractor-trailer when it turned left onto Kressler Road, rotating 90 degrees and coming to rest near the center median, troopers said. A Berks County bicyclist was found dead by a loved one after he was hit by a vehicle on Route 222, according to authorities. Northern Berks Regional Police said the cyclist was located on the highway between Rich Maiden Road and Pleasant Hill Road around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Coroner IDs Berks Man Killed In Rt. 222 Crash
Officials have identified the driver killed in an accident on Route 222 in Berks County over the weekend. Ernest Lee McLean, 56, of Blandon, was driving near Old Topton Road in Maxatawny Township at around 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 29 when his car hit a tractor-trailer, said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio in a release. Major traffic disruptions are to be expected in Lehigh County Wednesday due to a visit by President Joe Biden, officials said. A man wanted by police for a robbery in Reading lead officers on a pursuit last week through Route 222 and crashed his car into a median, leaving his passenger injured in an attempt to flee from police, authorities said.
