A car was found sliced in half on Route 222, Adamstown firefighters announced on Monday, Oct. 7. While heading to a training in Berks County, volunteers with the Adamstown Fire Company volunteers were called to a single vehicle accident on Rt 222. The crash was in the northbound lanes between the Exit: I-76 Turnpike/ PA Route 272 - Denver/PA Turnpike and Exit: PA 272 South/PA 568 East - Adamstown/Knauers around 7:30 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA. Berks Pair Charged In Route 222 Road Rage Shooting
Two men were arrested this week for the apparent road rage shooting on Route 222, said Wyomissing police in a release. Luis Alejandro Rosado Colon, 24, and Alejandro Perez Rodriguez, 23, were taken into custody on Tuesday, July 9, according to authorities. A car was shot at around 1 p.m. on July 1 near the Berkshire Mall, police said previously. No injuries were reported. Overturned Truck Closes Rt. 222 In Berks County
Traffic slowed in Berks County on Tuesday as emergency workers responded to the scene of an overturned tractor-trailer on Route 222, authorities said. It happened near the intersection with Schaeffer Road in Blandon before 10 a.m. on March 21, said Northern Berks Regional Police in a statement. Both the northbound lane of the highway and Schaeffer Road were shut down through the morning as crews worked, they added.
