Video Captures 'Alleged Illegal Activity' That Left Reading Parking Authority Employee Jobless
A Reading Parking Authority employee has been fired after a social media video appearing to show "illegal activity taking place" in a company vehicle made its way across the internet, management said. The video, uploaded by a Facebook user late on Sunday, May 14, appears to show two people sitting in a parked RPA car. The 10-second clip had garnered over 50,000 views by the evening hours on Monday, May 15. Shuttered Berks County Pool Could Be Transformed Into Exactly What Residents Asked For: Report
Some 60 residents in Reading could have their wishes for the East Reading Pool granted. They wanted a parking lot for the pool closed since 2015 and, according to WFMZ, they could be getting just that — complete with 63 spaces. The Reading City Council talked about handing over the East Reading Pool site to the Reading Parking Authority in Monday, Sept. 12 meeting, the outlet says.
