PA Detective Charged With Stealing Drugs From Medication Drop Boxes: DA
A West Goshen detective sergeant has been charged with stealing drugs from a community medication collection program, Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan announced on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024. David Maurer, 55, was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substances and Felony Theft by Unlawful Taking, according to the DA. Maurer was responsible for emptying medication collection boxes located at the West Goshen Township Police Department and Chester County Hospital. The Upper Darby Parking Enforcement Director is accused of abusing her position to steal coins and get family members out of tickets, according to prosecutors. Sekela T. Coles, 45, is charged with theft, receiving stolen property, and related felonies, said Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer's Office in a release. The city of Wildwood’s former and current mayor and a city commissioner broke the law – committing “breaches of the public trust” -- by collecting health benefits that they didn’t earn, state authorities said Friday. Wildwood Mayor Peter J. Byron, former Mayor Ernest V. Troiano Jr., and current City Commissioner Steven E. NYC Probation Official, Lehigh Valley Resident Sentenced In Child Porn Case
A 54-year-old Lehigh Valley resident was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in prison in a child pornography case, federal authorities announced Tuesday. In March, Robert Costello of Bethlehem pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography, one count of access with intent to view child pornography, and one count of possessing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
