Dog Found Abandoned In Delco Park, Owner Charged With Neglect: Police
One man was charged with misdemeanor neglect and cruelty to animals after Prospect Park police said he abandoned his dog. Authorities were able to identify 28-year-old Abraham Myers as the owner based on social media tips, said Prospect Park Police Chief Dave Madonna on Tuesday, March 12. Delco Cops Commended For Rescuing 'Person In Crisis' On Train Tracks
Two policemen in Delaware County were commended by the top brass for their "outstanding and compassionate work" assisting a resident in crisis on Thursday, March 30. Officers James Mansfield and Nicholas Denton of the Prospect Park Police Department received praise from Chief Dave Madonna for rescuing the resident, who "was going through a difficult situation" near Amtrak rails in the borough, the chief said in a statement. 1 Dead In Prospect Park House Fire
One person died in a Thursday morning house fire in Delaware County, authorities said. Fire crews responding to a home in the 100 block of Madison Avenue in Prospect Park just after midnight were advised of possible entrapment inside the home, officials said. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames shortly after arrival. A woman found on the first floor of the home was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Prospect Park Fire Company and CBS3. A dog also died in the fire, authorities told CBS3.
