An elderly North Whitehall man was found dead in his home, leaving authorities searching for any trace of his family. William H. Chapin, 87, was found dead at his North Whitehall Township home on Friday, Oct. 18, at 1:17 p.m., the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office announced on Monday, Nov. 4. Chapin, who died of natural causes, had no next-of-kin identified at the time of his death. The Lehigh County Coroner is seeking next-of-kin for a Northampton County man who died last month, authorities said on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Joseph M. Moosh, 66, of Bath, was pronounced dead on Thursday, July 11 at about noon at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Muhlenberg. He died of natural causes.
